*Re: [Ugnet] {UAH} Gen.Kayihura: an urgent message from Mr.Ali Kyeswa,
please!*

*Dear Gen Kayihura Sir,*

*Again we thank you and all the Police Force, for keeping peace and safety
in our country.*

*To some peoples' claim that it is "human rights" to Walk-to-Work, to
block roads against millions of school-kids walking to school, or a chaos
moreover totally devoid of any policy proposal but just "fujo"; that kind
of a claim is simply perversion of the concept of "human rights" !!*

*So, when we see the Police in the vanguard to defend the most genuine of
"human rights", i.e. access to an education by these voiceless school
children, they are doing God's work; let be damned whatever anybody else
says .........*

*Indeed we are also thankful that General Kayihura, such a busy man, is**
with us on these public fora listening and dialoguing with us, always open
to address any of our concerns.*

*We have to defend him. *

*Some are maligning him to cover nefarious agendas against our country !!*

*Mitayo Potosi*

How can Police uniforms be stolen? How did this happen? What else was
stolen from Police stores when we are at it? If Uganda thieves can steal
from the Police itself, is the organization still worth the name?

Just asking !!!!!!

Thanks for that information Ali but part of it is not correct. The right
information is, Armed robbers dressed in "fake" police and Army uniforms
attacked the Lorry on the said date and time. A police patrol vehicle
which was parked in the nearby center called Busembatya was alerted and it
immediately drove to the scene where it found robbers in action, the
robbers took off on seing the patrol vehicle. The police patrol vehicle
chased them trying to arrest them. But the robbers entered the swamps and
police failed to get them. The same patrol car returned to the scene to
take the victims to the hospital and to the station after to record their
statements. The police however found the victims having left the scene
going to the police station and proceeded with them. Statements were taken
and investigations are going on to find the robbers.
It is common for robbers to fodge the design of police and army uniforms.
Recently we arrested a man who was dressed in a fake police traffic
uniform trying to solicit money from drivers.
