If you are travelling this weekend get informed that the Kenyan government
has issued a travel advisory on Heathrow. Every Kenyan travelling to UK this
weekend has to realize that Kenya through a Dr Karanja Kibicho, the
principle Secretary of Kenya’s foreign Affairs ministry, is warning all
Kenyans on travelling through Heathrow Airport, for the intelligence is
stating that the airport is being targeted by "sophisticated" al-Qaida bombs
that could bring down a plane. With this advice, if you’re travelling
requires a European connection, you are advised not to travel through London
Heathrow where there is substantial threat of a possible attack. Kenyans
are therefore advised to seek alternative travel routes to connect to North
America and European countries. These include Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai,
Amsterdam and Addis Ababa in order to minimize the risk and avoid possible
delays.

If you are travelling to/through Europe make sure you keep in touch with
your government/embassy before you decide to use Heathrow airport.
