I will throw into that a piece of wood as well of pushing agriculture to be
among major job creators, and I am not going after the UPC Crocodile hoe
farming, I am going after modern mixed farming. I am trying to create more
jobs in the rural areas so that we fight mob urbanization happening in the
country as well.

The next global epidemic is projected to be diabetes especially in the West
where obesity is rising. That said diabetes can be self treated. I see
patients here treating themselves. They check their sugar levels regularly
and act accordingly.
Lately, prominent Ugandans have died from very easily preventable disease:
Asthma and Diabetes.
So how far are we willing to go in criticizing the system?
The govt of Uganda should encourage medical practitioners and business too
to import inhaler and diabetes meters tax free. I understand obesity is now
also an issue in Uganda so it is time the govt prepared itself.
FYI, at least in Western society, the poor are more likely to be obese. why?
they are more likely to go for bulk, proceeded foots or to go junk food
items than buy lean, afford fruits or home made food. In Uganda it is the
opposite: the rich and middle class are likely to be obese from eating too
much meat-not good for you-drinking too much beer and watching too much
TV-coach potato.
It seems Uganda is now being hit by diseases of both the rich and poor.
That is a scary combo.
