You have opened up your country to all Rwandese, to all Congolese, to all
Somalis, someone sent me a Utube the other day where white women were railing
havoc in Kumi for they flew out of London to go after men that left them in UK
pregnant and one starts to wonder if Kumi is Seven girls these days, Uganda has
a more chance today to have a Senegalese or Somali president replacing Museveni
due to the numbers and power they have in Uganda. And you are going after
Nigerians harvesting an already naked walking girl in Palabek?

Man you are a God damn straight racist.

Any Nigerian travelling to an African country must be a crook or fraudster who
is up to no good while those travelling to Europe or the Americas COULD have a
genuine political or economic causes to run away from. If I may ask, why would
a Nigerian leave Nigeria for a "better" life in Uganda? purpose or even Kenya
if not for some bad agenda?

If you landed at Ebbe right now you would be " inconvenienced" by long queues

So yes Uganda is taking the Ebola passenger threat seriously!

The incubation period for Ebola is 21 days so yes it is possible for travellers
to carry the virus for over 2 days. New Vision reports that Ugandans has

The story reads that these travelers' intended destination was Kenya. But since
there is neither a direct nor non-stop flight between Kenya and West Africa at
the moment, they detoured through Entebbe, and continued their journey by road.

So, they have been on the road for about 4 days. And this is basis of my
concern: what precautionary capability is active at EBB right now to check
arriving passengers of Ebola? And can a traveler from Ebola-stricken region
carry the virus for over 2 days without showing any signs that he or she is a
carrier?

Otherwise, these trips are legal and generally welcome; we just need to ensure
that the visitors don't drop some deadly virus on the way.

I see but that is up to public health authorities in Uganda, presumably Entebbe
and Busia and Malaba to do their job.
But how did they arrive in Uganda? Did they recently arrive from Ebola hits
countries or what?

I never said their travel is illegal. I'm only concerned about their health
status and if they might drop some Ebola virus along the way, from Entebbe to
the Kenyan border!

Do you know of any reasons why travellers from West African should not land at
Entebbe or enter Kenya? Has EAC banned arrivals or citizens from West Africa
landing at their airports or border points? Granted Kenyan airways has stopped
its flights to some of the countries-but not Nigeria-but there is no government
police baring entry arriving by air or road.

So there is nothing illegal about their entry through Busia or Malaba.

Pojim,

And Kenyans, with Obama-like non-UPE lawyers should they wish, would sue Uganda
State for 10billion US dollars and expect my grandfather to pay....like the
poor Old Man is still struggling - paying off Congolese debts from the
International Criminal/or was it which Court........while NRA guys dance
'siendi omwana afana tatta...' at Mbale. My grandfather, while Museveni's is
who?

Ugandans....believe in better.

Folks;

I'm not an alarmist, but the possibility that Ugandan authorities have allowed
travelers from Ebola-stricken nations in West Africa to land and freely exit
Entebbe, should cause us to pause for impact.

Now, some of these W. Africans have found their ways into Kenya, through Malaba
and Busia, meaning they could have left the virus along the way!

I need our resident doctors to jump in here and calm me: can someone infected
with Ebola virus go beyond 48 hours without falling sick, or showing any signs
of the disease?

Also, can such a virus be transmitted through such casually minimal but close
contacts as passing around documents, including money and passports?

Again, when it comes to matters of this nature, I'm your typical ignoramus.
