Again I will repeat myself as I have been doing always, you need to stop
misleading Ugandans that the problem we have in that country is simple. Uganda
is way screwed up that a change of leadership is not going to change it. A
removal of the entire Movement from power is not going to change it. Uganda has
passed that level and we need to start to prepare Ugandans for what is very
eminent. Listen, a couple of weeks ago I talked to BiribwaMugumu who happens to
be a very close friend of mine, she went to Uganda and she was terrorized by
the entire system. The government officials terrorized her, the friends
terrorized her, Police station officials terrorized her. Lawyers terrorized
her. Yet she did nothing wrong but to own a property in Uganda that she needed
to develop. And this is not a low key woman she knows almost everyone in
Uganda government and she is informed to a level that she called as high as
Kale Kayihura. She stated how she is a member of UAH and how she has
contributed a whole lot, but all that failed to help her for everyone wanted
her arrested in Uganda unless she departs with every coin she so had.
BiribwaMugumu reached a point of sneaking out of the country. Listen I was in
line to go to Uganda in a couple of months but the manner at which
BiribwaMugumu was treated, we need to rethink Uganda and very hard before we
buy that ticket for there is a point in time our lives can be of greater value
than visiting home. Now tell me this, how will the removal of The Movement
change that sir?

And it is a very open ended question.

Frank I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I have expressed my belief. But
we should think about the practicality of doing it. Nobody talks about that. To
chase Obote out of power cost Luwero 700000. How many more will perish this
time?

Uganda is an artificial entity. It just serves to allow some parts of it to
milk and use other parts.

I think you made your point about unitary Uganda and peaceful means of removing
M7 very clear. But some people do not agree with your view so they are trying
other means.

Subject: {UAH} Meeting of Uganda opposition groups in Europe

Consensus has been emerging that all opposition groups in Uganda and in the
Diaspora should come together, unite and use one platform to defeat the NRM
regime. The Hague conference in November 2013 was the first such conference to
unite the opposition. This was followed by the London conference that adopted a
roadmap, non-violent methods of regime change and post-NRM arrangements
including a transitional government run by a presidential team to avoid
political feuding and instability.

It is ironic that another conference is being organized in Europe this weekend
by some of the same people who organized the November meeting, not to build on
what has been done in The Hague and London meetings but to create a parallel
body. Not only is this parallel body unnecessary but above all it is divisive.
Some key players in The Hague Process (THP) have been deliberately excluded.
Frankly this is a step backwards. It raises fundamental questions: Who is
funding it and who is organizing it? Why was it kept secret? Who are the
participants? What criteria were used in selecting them? What is the agenda and
expected outcomes? This kind of approach strengthens NRM and keeps it in power.

We need to carefully review what is going on so we don’t waste time working
with agents of the NRM posing as opposition members. These agents will continue
to make it difficult for the opposition to blow NRM out of power.
