If you are in North America {Canada & United States} we are getting reports
from Tekmira Pharmaceuticals Corp that both American and Canadian regulators
have authorized the use of its Ebola treatment in patients that have
confirmed or suspected infection from the deadly virus. The Vancouver based
company is stating that from today Health Canada and the U S Food and Drug
administration have allowed the drug developer to offer experimental
therapies to patients with serious disease. The company is developing
TKM-Ebola under a contract with US Department of Defense.
With this development the Tekmira shares rose 6 percent in Toronto and 9
percent on the Nasdaq.
