We are getting reports that president Obama has authorized another 4,000
soldiers to go to West Africa. They are being piled up from 1st Armored
Division at Fort Bliss, Texas, and Joint Task Force Carson at Fort Carson,
Colorado, as well as the 101st Airborne Division based at Fort Campbell,
Kentucky. The Pentagon press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby has made two
specific and interesting points {a} They are to assist in logistical support
and {b} US military personnel are not and will not be providing direct care
to Ebola patients.
