It is going to be very unfair when we look at the sad state of affairs that
happened in Ottawa and we fail to raise the part that social media played to
feed into the fear factor. It has played in two ways, when the soldier was
shot at point blank, he was shot about 10am so a nice early Ottawa morning
in a very well-populated area. Instead of helping this very injured man the
population wanted to inform their friends on how he has been shot. Guess how
they helped, they pulled out their phones to take his photograph as he was
wailing in pain and send it to their friends. Well what a better way to
inform your friends that a soldier has been shot and here are the pics. In
as many as years I have lived in this country, such a location must be piled
up with Emergency services, yet in Ottawa they had a problem doing their job
for some fool needs to take a pic of this man for it is that important to be
sent to his or her friend. There has started to be complaints from those
that tried to save the life of this man on the moral value one holds to see
such a scene as a good scene to take a photograph. But let us remember that
every phone you see out there has a camera and that camera has an ability
to take a picture but send it anywhere in the world.
The second problem that raised its head was reports that were made to the
authorities again through social medical. The moment the first call went out
that a soldier has been shot, and ambulances with police agencies started to
race to parliament building, as these pictures were being sent out, everyone
started to see a terror attack on his street on his building and his
location. They then turned around and reported it to Police which was in a
fear as well for it never expected this to happen so it never knew its
magnitude, and we have been fade with so much crap of fear that has involved
every one. So as they were reporting to Police, Police also was turning
around and reporting such incidents as attacks. Here is an example, why did
we get a report of an attack on Laurie? There was an attack on the grave of
a dead soldier, then the very same attacker drove a stolen car to parliament
building center block, those two attacks were regarded as two separate
attacks with two separate terrorists. There was at one point, Parliament
building became the center point of investigation, then Police turned around
to expand it as reports came in. We reached a point of we have five
separate attacks in Ottawa. Now this is a very small city with a river on
one side, if you get five separate attacks with five separate crime scenes,
the city gets into pandemonium. Secondly the reports were made to Police of
Ottawa which made the reports to the public, but the man was chased by RCMP
cars from the first shooting to the second shooting. Did the Ottawa Police
know about that chase in those frightening moment? I do not think so, to
them they had two terrorist attacking and the number of attacks growing. I
think someone fell sick at Laurie hotel and an ambulance was called to pick
him/her up and who ever saw that ambulance made a report that a terrorist
has attacked on Laurie and an injured individual has been taken by an
ambulance. And that is exactly how it fell on my screen, police is stating
that we have an attack on Laurie and an individual has been taken to
hospital.
Now really when we have an attack and someone is injured, how do you send an
ambulance to the scene before Police arrives? Because at a time there was no
police at Laurie it was rushing at the scene. No I just stopped down and
decided to take a moment of air for everything was simply not adding up. But
the pandemonium was ratcheted up for NORAD {The North American Aerospace
Defense Command } was informed, and instructed to be ready for we are now
under attack the city is full of terrorists. Politicians that were under
lock up at the hill started to sneak out phone calls to talk radio stations
and stating how we have been attacked in various places. We had one
terrorist with five still at large and then we dropped to 4 at large then to
three at large then to two at large. Police kept on going after these wild
goose chasses and cancelling them as they arrive. Lives were petrified,
there are women that were locked up separate from husbands, parents locked
up separate from kids in schools, it was a nightmare and for a very long
time of about almost 10 hours. We had three cars going to Montreal and we
had to recall them back to Toronto for we were advised that the bridges to
Montreal were all shut down and Police will not be able to open them till
when they have got all the suspects in Ottawa shooting. Well if you do not
cross the bridges you cannot go to Montreal, so we instructed them back. The
man was a single homeless drug addict that was shot in parliament building
and laying on the floor dead, he had no home and no belongings, the
investigation about his past history has been mainly in the shelter where he
resided for a couple of weeks and his belongings that were taken were in a
God damn duffel bag.
Well come to a the IPhone century where every phone owner can sit in a
basement and become a very reliable source.
