The National Police Service has said that a contingent of police officers in
choppers have been sent to Kapedo in Turkana County following reports of
renewed attacks.
Unconfirmed reports also indicate that several police officers and reservists
have been missing since Saturday morning.
Administrative Police spokesman Masoud Mwinyi said that he could not confirm of
any fatalities yet but added that a search operation was underway following the
reports of the missing security officers
The five had been missing since Saturday, when bandits attacked a police
vehicle.
On Sunday last week, Inspector-General of Police David Kimaiyo warned that
police would not sit back and watch as bandits to killed innocent civilians.
Mr Nanok appealed to the government to address the border dispute between the
Pokot and Turkana communities.

We are getting reports of an attack to a Kenyan Police unit and we seem to have
causalities. Can someone fill us in if you can get the writing for we have so
far failed to get a direct report from Kenya, but we think we have some Police
Officers that have been killed in the country.
