Fellow country men and women, as I continue with the series, I would like to
point out and emphasize again that the decision to write these series was born
out of frustration that for decades the failure of the Ugandan state has been
blamed on one single man Iddi Amin and his people the Nubians and Kakwa of West
Nile District. Everyone has been brainwashed to the extent of believing that
there were no other players rather than actors in the Ugandan scene before,
during and after Amin. All that has been happening since his departure in 1979
are caused by his ghost mixed with some kakwa vodoo and a little Islamic
Jihadism. The rest of Ugandans were and continue to be saints who cannot hang
Jesus on the cross or banish prophet Mohamed back to Medina where he came from
before declaring Mecca a holy place where you pray without shoes on. Because
this vacuum has existed for sooo too long, I decided to fill the gap by first
and foremost focusing on the Acholi’s that have proffessionary played the
victim card since 1971 with checking their own history of how much damage they
have caused and continue to post-colonial Uganda. On record, there is no single
conflict in post-colonial Uganda in which the Acholi’s have not played a key
role. If they are not in the front line, the Langi are covering for them till
the Langi by themselves discovered it the hard way that 99% of the time
Acholi’s are double dealing and have gone their separate ways dating back to
the death of David Oyite Ojok who was the only binding factor militarily so to
speak.
Let us look at the numbers for numbers have always failed to lie.
Acholi’s started fighting Amin on January 26 1971 till they took him out of
office come 1979. They started fighting the same UNLF/UNLA which they
themselves but created with other Ugandans, including Yoweri Museveni, in Moshi
but almost immediately. When Museveni declared war on their government in 1981,
they went after him until he took them out of business in 1986. In 1985 instead
of focusing on their enemy in Luwero, Acholis actually turned on their very own
government Obote II and drove it out of town, they brought their own government
this time headed by two oldies Okello and Okello and appointing Olara Otunnu
foreign minister. Very blindly and without taking into consideration of the
rest of Ugandans they went to Nairobi to now negotiate with Museveni. Having
lived with them in Tanzania for 8 years and working with them briefly in
post-Amin government he had learned and known enough about these people who
dance with spears as if they are getting ready to fight a lion. He was not
giving them a second chance this time around. Museveni sensed their naivety and
signed the peace agreement having assembled his Tutsi friends ready to storm
Kampala at any moment and that is exactly what he did. But just before he
settled in, Lakwena has already assembled his people and launched a war
against this son of Rwanda father. It is important to remember that Lakwena
decided to fight using stones portraying the most primitive part of Acholi
people a people who always boast of how highly and well they are educated. Even
Karamojong’s no longer raid their Turkana neighbors with spears but AK47. Why
an educated people would launch a war against a modernized army using stones,
still challenges the most brilliant minds of our time.
Lakwena could not get rid of Museveni so she gave up handing everything to
Joseph Kony who this time abandoned stones and chose the Bible and the Ten
Commandment, believing that since "Lubanga tye I Gulu" he will be on his side.
He forgot that God does not dance rakaraka with people who break his
Commandments. So Konny went it alone for 20 years giving Museveni a chance to
camp them for the exact 20 years, uninterrupted. Fellow countrymen and women,
again I am not saying all this because I hate Acholi’s, I have no hatred of
these friends. I am simply tired of this victim card which has been played for
too long making every Ugandan who is not an Acholi as tribalist who cares less
about the suffering of Acholi’s. They have participated fully in what took
place during Amin's time and after he has left, they are still participating in
destroying Uganda. As the series continue I will show how anti system Acholis
have been in Uganda starting by focusing on how they were against educational
institutions in our country.
