Ahead of Tuesday's election, US President Barack Obama has been heckled once
again by demonstrators demanding immigration reform.

Speaking at an event for Governor Dan Malloy at a high school in Bridgeport,
Connecticut on Sunday, Obama was interrupted at least four times by
immigration protesters who were forcing him to stop his prepared remarks, a
White House report said.

In one case, two young men talked over Obama, with one of them wearing a
shirt that said “Obama Deports Parents.”

Immediately after the young men were led away, a woman shouted at the
president that she was a “dreamer” demanding immigration reform.

The president, however, used the incident to urge the voters to keep the
Senate under the control of Democrats.

“The Republicans are blocking immigration reform,” said Obama. “That's one
more reason we need a Democratic Senate."

He said that he was “sympathetic” to people complaining about the lack of
immigration reform in Congress.

"That’s why we fought for immigration reform,” he went on to say that “It’s
the other party that’s blocking. Unfortunately, folks get frustrated, and
they yell at everybody.”

The activists are frustrated by the lack of progress in immigration reform.
They have protested a number of Democratic rallies in recent weeks.

The president has promised to issue an executive order, which would grant
temporary legal status for many illegal immigrants in the country.

Obama’s critics say regardless of whether Congress passes a bill, the
president still has the authority to halt many of the deportations and to
reform the immigration system in the United States.
