As many of you that have been following the labor issue at University of
Toronto, you will know by now that they got a contract last night. I think I
got the okay at about 3 45am last night, that the University teaching
assistants had got a deal which was to be tabled today. This is what I know
as of 10 minutes ago, the deal has been tabled to the teaching assistants
and it has just been rejected. And this is what is current irrespective of
what many Radio/TV stations are reading in the city, Teaching assistants at
the University of Toronto are now on strike for they have voted against a
tentative agreement with the university. Let me add as well that In an
email, a CUPE 3902 representative said that strike duty and picketing will
start come Monday. So until some miracle happens, if you are a student of
University of Toronto be informed that the teachers are on strike as by come
Monday. And trust me I am posting it for I have it from very reliable
source and I know how it affects so many of our kids.
Start calling and listen to the media for this is breaking right now.
