Again you are behaving as John Nsubuga that reads what I have posted to twist
it fit his argument, not all Langi and Acholi are UPC members but Lango and
Acholi is the cradle of UPC, That is exactly what I stated. I stated as well
that when a party has a tribal problem in The cradle the party is dead. Akim
there is a whole lot of damage Acholi did to UPC when they threw Obote out of
power, and that damage deepened when they pointed the guns to Langis. That was
the death of that cradle. And any one ignoring that factor is ignoring it at
his own peril. But that damage left supporters as Easterners in a limbo for
they can neither lead that party nor form its direction but remain on
Kwarakwara.
UPC is dead and we need to start to move on.

Mulindwa;
You do ot deserve sh... the very notion that the wrangle in the UPC is a fight
against Langi and Acholi is nothing but sordid lie. How many UPC MPS hail from
Acholi? Do they really matter? No they do not. Same applies to Lango. So the
suggestion that the entire Acholi and entire Lango are UPC and therefore
tearing themselves over the control of the party is a lot of garbage fit for
Kasasiro.
Acholis and Langis are voting more for the other parties than UPC. So your
conclusion does not warrant you a Cuban cigarettes, but Kali kubwa from BAT!.

Veeeeery wrong, there is simply no money in UPC. Where do they get it from? The
little drop offs from the government? No many of these good men {Degree
holders} can earn more than what Museveni drops them. This is a very serious
war and there is nothing to like about it. This is a war between Acholi and
Langi. The two main members of the party cradle have started to publicly go
after each other. Go back and read the series slowly, I stated that Acholi made
a huge political mistake to use the overthrow of Obote two government and they
raided cities after cities killing every Langi they found. And I said that
Acholi are finished because they attacked but murdered every one they found in
West Nile. With that they lost the Madi Alur Lugbara Banubbi support. Now after
they did that they turned around and attacked Langi and murdered so many of
them at the exit of Obote two government. There is no Langi that will ever work
with Acholi for they are killers. Now the moment a Langi wins the leadership,
yea you need to move your behind out like now. When you lose the unity between
Langi and Acholi in a party, when they have been the major cradle of the party,
it is time ladies and gentlemen that we lower the casket of the party into the
grave. Now here is your pointer, Look very closely at those going after Akena
and his group actions, you will realize that they are the very same members
fiercely opposed to The Acholi violence series. And what is common about all of
them? They are UPC members. This is a very serious matter that I will be
surprised if Acholi do not raise up with guns to go after Uganda House
occupiers. And why? Olara Otunnu is the first party leader to call in a
security company to protect him from the members of his party, imagine what he
can do from the outside of Uganda House.
God, long time since I had a Cuban cigar. I think I deserve one tonight.

Joseph,
I don't know whether this makes me a bit weird but I kind of like it when UPC
is fighting UPC. So, actually Otunu has made my day.
Jokes aside, I think UPC is finished. The fight is now about money not really
politics. Who is in charge of the Milton Obote foundation or the money tap in
the party?

The storm over Jimmy Akena's win in the recent district conference elections is
not yet over at Uganda House, the Uganda People's Congress (UPC) party
headquarters.
The out-going party president Dr Olara Otunnu has joined his deputy Joseph
Bbosa and the party national chairman, Prof Edward Kakonge in denouncing
Akena’s presidential election victory as illegitimate.
Akena, who is also Lira Municipality MP, was declared winner by UPC's electoral
commission chairman John Buzu on Monday after securing majority votes of
endorsement from district delegates for the party's presidency.
The late Milton Obote's son was endorsed by 67 districts, David Pulkol (former
head of external security organization) by 12, while UPC's vice-president
Joseph Bbosa only 11 districts.
Since UPC constitution says the party president is elected from candidates
approved by majority vote of at least a third of all district conferences,
meaning that a candidate needs endorsement from at least 37 districts, Akena's
name will be the only one EC will forward to the delegates conference if the
election is not annulled.
The delegates' conference scheduled for June 12 will then approve Akena as UPC
president and party flag bearer for the 2016 presidential election.
One of those baying for Akena's blood is Bbosa. He dismissed the vote as marred
by irregularities and said he and party national chairman, Edward Kakonge had
already petitioned the party's electoral body over the matter.
Bbosa said that in some districts such as Kanungu, Mayuge and Kabale, UPC
members complained about malpractices.
He also said the party's EC considered only 66 districts out of the 112 in the
country.
Akena is set to replace his archrival. Olara Otunnu who said he would not be
seeking reelection.
The former United Nations undersecretary-general for children and armed
conflict said that he was planning to devote all his political energies and
attention to the central project of effecting democratic change in the country.
UPC dominated Ugandan politics from independence until 1971 when Obote was
overthrown by Idi Amin.
The party returned to power under Obote in 1980 until he was overthrown again
in 1985 by Tito Okello.
Critics have accused the Obote family of converting the party into a family
firm, saying the move will weaken democracy within UPC
