Actually Barigye demonstrated very well how Ugandans debate politics a very
reason some of us left the country. Ugandans are consistent. You see when you
stand and complain how NRA is decimating Acholi you remain consistent on that
issue you never turn around and say that Acholi have committed crimes in the
country as well. And that is how Ugandans debate their politics. Look closely
at what these Ugandans debate, the only Ugandans that have been murdered are
those murdered by Iddi Amin. To these friends after 1979 Uganda is a stable
country and no one has been murdered. The only killer we have is Iddi Amin.
Their political discussion actually starts but ends on Iddi Amin. So since I
raised the issues of Acholi decimation I cannot turn around and raise the
Acholi violence. For now you are inconsistent. Now that kind of reasoning is
the very core why a gun is the best weapon UPC as a party has, they take a
stand and defend it with a gun in Acholi hands. But you question whether they
read each other for George Okello challenged me how I defended Acholi and UPC,
and I rejected to go back in the files and repost my writings for his argument
was very childish, why would Barigye repost them? Didn’t he read how Okello
challenged me to repost them? No that passed him when he was frantically
looking for something from me to post and just anything that I posted 5 to 10
years ago and that is the worst he found for I defended Acholi population from
the hands of NRA, that was a Federal case now to be posted.

But realize this as well, those very same degree holders use a term “We all
have been violent” “We all have committed crimes” “We all have a bad back
ground and we all need to create a reconciliation program in Uganda” Also a one
called George Okello swears that I have never defended Acholi in these forums
as I have never defended UPC as a party. Then you wonder what Barigye reposted.

When degree holders get this confused but static, don’t bother praying for the
country it is done like dinner.

1st Atiak massacre, Gulu District, Acholi, 18 December 1993: 9 killed

In the first Atiak massacre, the NRA killed nine civilians in Atiak market.
People had come from various parts of Gulu for an auction in Atiak trading
centre. The army wanted to use the occasion to make various statements and
speeches but there was a lot of noise. The commanding officer of the 7th
battalion, a Lt. Bbosa, gave an order to shoot. Nine people died instantly with
sixteen others sustaining bullet wounds.
