Ugandans fight for chairs in Moshi conference, they fight for after Amin loot,
they fight for UNLF loot, they fight for Obote two government loot, they fight
for droppings of camps in the North, and now they are in exile running from
their very own misdeeds in Uganda, fighting for the bones that Yoweri Museveni
has thrown to them. 85% of discussion in Uganda forums is limited to
fighting/defending for entities, being abusive and threatening each other, or
posting how they or their children got more degrees. But look closely at those
fighting, it is the very same names in all wars. No Uganda never got a change,
and it will never get a change until when someone decides to raise up a SSgt
Doe in Uganda, for we need a clean-up from these very, permanent craps.
It frustrates for some of us never actually had a right to decide what country
to be born out of, Uganda was just thrown into our firkin face.

You are totally confused and have made my case.
You started your originally email by resurrecting a previous warning of
having NRM dominate UNAA and went ahead to try and prove your point. You led
off by telling your audience about what happened

Subject: {UAH} NEKYON: My Observations at UNAA 1
Mr Nekyon,
I think that it is only fair to comment about things that you actually read and
things that you saw.
1. My email was clear. As ALWAYS, I said that I have NO problem with members
of ANY political organisations joining UNAA. I specifically said that I was
opposed to NRM's DOMINATION and UNDUE INFLUENCE of UNAA. Where does Mr Nekyon
get the idea that I am opposed to NRM members being in UNAA?
2. I specifically said that NRM and the opposition had an equal number of about
30% EACH. Simple maths would put their combined number at 60%! The rest would
be about 40%. What was hard about that? I never said that NRM had dominated
UNAA because of the Political Forum. I specifically said that I'll explain my
reasons in the coming posts. Mr Nekyon must be responding to someone else's
posts and putting THEIR words in my mouth or Mr Nekyon is making up his own
facts.
3. Where do I say that I was the only one not picked?
4. Mr Nekyon claims that NRM MPs had a rough time. Did I say that NRM MPs had
an easy time? I made NO comment about that. I saw opposition and NRM
supporters scream at each other and rudely interrupting speakers from the other
side.
During the political forums, Dr Besigye was NOT treated like a rock-star by al
sides. Many NRM MPs shouted him down. I especially observed Mr Nsereko, a
lady that claimed to be Dr Besigye's neighbor, and another guy that was wearing
glasses as the ring leaders in jeering Dr Besigye. The videos are there for
anyone to see.
5. Mr Nekyon mentions that I talked to NRM politicians...I specifically said
that I'd post my views about the Kla politicians. I know that I talked to many
of them. How else would have explained to them how NRM money has messed up
UNAA? I already told you that the moderator refused to pick me to explain to
the politicians why we oppose the money from the NRM.
thanks

Folks:
I hope you all had a great weekend with your family and friends and look
forward to a good rest of the year.
The reason I am writing is that I just read the latest submission by my friend
Joseph Musoke, with his take on the just ended Unaa-Boston Convention. Trying
to read and understand Joseph Musoke, can sometimes be an exercise in mental
futility and this recent submission fits that glove perfectly.
He(Musoke) with authority has determined that this just ended convention was
dominated by NRM and puts his “world class” skills to work to prove his point/s
to all Unaa members. What one runs into very quickly when reading Joseph Musoke
is that; facts and opinions are a bridge too far for him.
Here are my observations:
1) Joseph Musoke, talks about warning members on the increasing danger to the
association(UNAA) from NRM but then goes on to contradict himself in the very
next sentence that he “is not opposed to NRM members being in UNAA.” That is
atypical of Joseph Musoke, who wants to straddle both parts of the argument
thinking that the rest of us are unable to notice that, but then gets totally
confused in the end about what he is talking about;
2) In his gotcha moment about NRM and politics, he(Musoke) takes us to some
“secret location” where politics was being discussed. The problem is that it’s
the ‘Political Forum,’where politics is supposed to be discussed and he(Musoke)
acts like it is something new to UNAA. It gets better….;
3) To prove how dominating NRM was at the convention, Joseph Musoke, goes ahead
and proves how poor he is at analyzing the very numbers he provides to us.
According to his numbers; during the ‘Political Forum which was one of the best
attended,’ 30% of the members were NRM, 30% were opposition and the rest 40%
were independent. I had to sit back for a second and wonder what was in the
water that Joseph Musoke, had just drunk before he posted these numbers. If 70%
of attendees were not classified as NRM by Joseph Musoke, himself, how in
heavens name does he come up with such a conclusion that NRM has taken over
UNAA;
4) There were a lot of people who were not picked during one of the most
contentious ‘Question and Answers(QA) in the history of UNAA. I was one of
those who was not picked and I did not take it personally because there were a
lot of raised hands. The idea that Joseph Musoke, was the only one targeted is
a serious case of self-importance that does not conform with reality because
some of the participants of the ‘Political Forum,’ moved to another with where
Kiiza Besigye, held court where Joseph Musoke, did not turn up at all;
5) Joseph Musoke; selectively does not tell you what happened during the
‘Political Forum,’ because it does not conform to the false narrative that he
is trying weave. The MP’s representing NRM had a rough time during the Q&A and
were heard complaining about how they were treated by the members. Meanwhile
Kiiza Besigye, was treated like a rock star during the convention and Winnie
Byanyima, with whom I had a chat with and I knew personally due to our father’s
being personal friends, and my younger sister had lived with Mzee Byanyima and
his late wife, in Mbarara when she attended Mary Hill-Nyamutanga, was swooning
about the reception they had been accorded. Which is kind of odd because Joseph
Musoke, has been selling the idea that NRM dominates UNAA but then again, the
difference between facts and opinion are an alien concept for him(Musoke).
I will await Joseph Musoke’s next submission before further commenting on how I
saw Joseph Musoke, hobnobbing with some of NRM’S leading lights like Mohammed
Nsereko, among others.

Message body
This past weekend, I attended the UNAA convention in Boston. It was very nice
to see long lost friends. In a few posts, I'll share what I observed at the
convention:
NRM:
The convention was dominated by the NRM. I have been complaining for years
that it is bad for UNAA to allow the NRM to influence UNAA activities but my
warnings fell on deaf ears. But I am glad that more people are now waking up
to this danger. To be clear, I am NOT opposed to NRM members being in UNAA. I
have always said that members of all political parties should be welcome in
UNAA but UNAA should not favor any party. In another post, I will explain how
the NRM has achieved an unprecedented level of dominance in UNAA. I will also
show how the proposed changes to the UNAA bylaws will consolidate the NRM's
control of UNAA.
POLITICAL FORUM:
I attended the political forum.
There were lots of questions and answers about political things in Kla that I
am not competent to discuss. But they also talked about NRM donations to UNAA.
As someone that has opposed NRM donations since the idea came up in 2006, I
tried to clarify our views. The moderator refused to pick me. I tried to
plead with UNAA leaders to have him pick me but it didn't work. In fact, one of
them asked me what I wanted to say! After the forum,I asked the moderator why
he refused to pick me yet he knew that I was well informed about that money any
of the MPs and embassy officials he chose to speak. He said that it was because
I moved from side of the room to another!
I think there was an equal number of supporters of the NRM as well as
supporters of the opposition parties. I think each side about 30% of the
audience. The rest were independents like me, plus those that do not know what
is going on in Kla. The two sides shouted each other down on several
occasions. In my view, the moderator was very terrible. He tended to favor
the NRM speakers. He also seemed to lose track of time. He tended to tell
speakers that they had 1 minute to ask questions but if he liked the person, he
would ignore the time limits and let them talk to over 5 minutes. This caused
problems because he tended to prefer Kla based politicians ...and if you tell a
politician to talk for 1 minutes, you'd need a bulldozer to grab the microphone
from them. There were two Ug embassy officials that "helped" the moderator to
choose the people that would ask questions. So the MPs would signal to the
embassy officials who would then whisper in the ear of the moderator. Towards
the end, NRM MPs conferred among themselves and chose Mr Nsereko and a lady MP
to ask the last questions. The lady said she lives next to Dr Besigye and
wanted his "lumpens" to leave Besigye's house so that she can access her
garden! Later, I asked her why she thought that UNAA's political forum was the
best to ask such a question.
Mr Nsereko also used his "question" to attack Dr. Besigye. I had a chance to
talk to Mr Nsereko on many occasions on Sat and Sun...he really hates Dr
Bersigye, but that is left for another post.
DEMONSTRATIONS:
This morning, I read that the NRM had foiled an opposition plan to demonstrate
against NRM money. I am sure that is total fabrication. Someone in Kla just
wanted to make money by falsely claiming to have foiled a demo!
