Malmö (Sweden)

Murder rates are some periods higher than any other European nation. Plus it
has the highest rape rate in Sweden, and therefore the WORLD.M+24

A lot of immigrants aka "youth" in this city in Skåne, it's a real shame.
Malmö used to be a great city but ever since the social-democrats and
moderates decided to enrich it it's been crap. Here in Sweden you always
hear it mentioned when talking about crime, immigration and violence. I
recommend everyone to keep away from this hell hole of a city.
And to my fellow Swedes I recommend voting for a party that actually cares
about the Swedes and not just about the "Newswedes" next election, or you'll
have yourself to blame when it spreads to your town.M+32

Immigrants everywhere... Unless you are from any type of country that is in
the Middle Eastern, Muslim or being arab, the chances are that you will be
surprised how many people that WILL try to kill you.M+10

Immigrants, immigrants everywhere, this town is ruined.M+15

Been there several times and the bad rap is exaggerated. There are parts of
the city where you don't want to go night time but that's the same with a
lot of cities even smaller ones. It's not beautiful but cosy and there are a
lot of creative designers, musicians, good shopping, great food from all
over the world. In the central parts there is a " bohemian" neighborhood
which is multicultural, young, cool and I would say rather safe to go even
at night. - ChatonNoirM

It's a city where gangs take over whole streets and police can't do anything
about it I live in this city and I've seen everything from shootings to
murder with my own eyes hereM+7

Little bit of Baghdad in the heart of Sweden.M+11

I spent a lot of time there over the years up until 10 years ago now I piss
on it, you can only thank your government. it is by far the worst in Europe.
I'm from usa, good luck to all you locals that have no were else to go - get
guns and fight them! You can win back your countryM+1

Visiting Malmo, you would think you were in like
<https://www.thetoptens.com/lebanon/> Lebanon. If you are Jewish then stay
away. Anti-semitism is rife and the police don't car.M+5

Murder rates. Who would imagine that people get killed in Malmö just for
looking at somebody else in the eye. Scary place.M+10

Failed socialist experiment. Avoid at all costs.M+6

Lived here for 2 months, got robbed, stabbed and threatened. Great city,
loved it.M+4

As a swede I will never set my foot in that town. They should really just
bomb it.. Or better yet find oil in it so
<https://www.thetoptens.com/united-states/> USA does it maybe we can give
the hole to Denmark? DO NOT GO THEREM

Malmö has become one of the most dangerous cities in all of Europe (or the
world. Shootouts between rival gangs happen daily. The few law abiding
citizen who are left, have to plan their days very carefully to avoid being
killed. No one (except criminals) dares stay out after dark in most parts of
the city, and some areas must under no circumstances be entered. So if you
have the least regard for your life, do not even come close to Malmö!M

One of the biggest smuggler cities in Europe with ridiculously increasing
gang-related murder rate. But if you don't look for trouble, you'll be
aight.M+5

I live in Sweden and this town and somewhat of a city sucks it is ruled by
immigrants and drunks.M+1

Do not wonder here alone. Stay away from the suburbs at nighttime,
especially if you are a woman.M

Soon there will be no swedes left in this city.M+2

Don't know where you get this opinion of malmo my son lives there so I visit
often it's lovely nice restaurants and really lovely parks. Yes there is an
area of immigrants but where isn't there now you silly peopleM+1

Immigrants who live here are forced to live in poverty and lack acceptance
from the Swedish population. That is how dangerous people are systematically
created. Segregation and poverty. In some regions they separate the Muslim
immagrant sand Swedish students. Swedish people act very entitled and call
immigrants terrorists and rapists.M

Mass immigration has really taken its toll.M+1

Grenade attacks happen constantly. Last month, a teenager was shot dead at a
bus stop.M

Our city has become a dumping ground for radical islam and messed up
immigrantsM

Its going this way in all bigger citys in Sweden thanks to traitors in our
Gov.M+11

Swedish death knell that is what they get for being politically correctM

Sweden used to be a safe place.
Now, due to large scale immigration most large cities are dangerousM+4

Handgrenades being thrown on a regular basis, bombs exploding and shootouts
with automatic weapons. It is going downhill fast.M

I ear very bad situations there.. Vikings are overM

hit the fan, kids get shot on the regular. Run from this city!M

It's quite unsafe, mostly because of islam :/M

Extremly dangerous for Christian and Jews in certain areas in townM

If this town is this high where is stockholm. stockholm is the most
dangerous city in SwedenM

Like most cities in Sweden, not so civilised ( contrary to what Nordic
people claim to be) they have a drinking problem that leads to crimeM

I've been to most of the cities above it on this list and Malmö was by far
the scariest.M

Used to live there... would never move back unless the government deported
54% of the residents.M

Drugs robbies and shootouts everywhere. no order and controlM

Execution style murders is almost a daily occurrence now.. the city is lostM

I'm Scottish and I visited Malmoe a few months ago. Really scary city, gangs
everywhere and a lot of gypsy's and arabs. The arab girls there look great
though!M

Wow. The comments here are really ridiculous. I'm 21 years old, lived my
entire life in Malmö and experienced a lot of crazy and bad stuff. Drugs,
violence even murder exists, yes it does. But it is not unsafe to walk
anywhere, even at night. Happens, as it does everywhere, maybe it happens in
Malmö more than it does in the rest of Sweden. But the problem is the
unemployment rate among young people who are children of immigrants. It's
really hard as a foreign-looking teenager to compete with a blonde 100%
swede in terms of getting a job and so on. There's a lot of young idiots
here too that wants fast money provided by a life of crime, but it's
definitely not worse than other cities in Europe, the rate is still lower if
you compare stats. The people writing here are from villages in Sweden and
they have probably never been outside of Sweden or Europe and they don't
know how it is in other countries. Just so you know, it's far worse
everywhere else, and people still live normal ...moreM+2

The center is a very unpleasant place to be in. Too many Arabs and Somalis
with too much free time in their hands.M

I've lived in this city all my life and my opinion is that malmo should be
at least top3 on the list I live in the nicest area in malmo and I've even
seen someone getting stabbed in the throat in one of the so called "best"
schools in the city, someone blowing up a car and a handgrenade blowing up
very close to my home so number 10 is not a very accurate place on this
listM

Very dangerous city. a lot of gang related people, shootings are a daily
thing in Malmo.M

Malmo is really boring.Nothing to do.Copenhagen is just over the bridge and
is way better.M

This is stupid some parts of Malmö are dangerous others are perfect id be
more worried about StockholmM

I was born and raised in Malmö. I have two teenage kids that I fought very
hard to keep out of trouble their whole childhood living in Sofielund (nor
as bad as Rosengård but getting there! ). I made it.
Now I have a 3 year old. I have 3 more years to find a place outside this
city because this time I really think that there is no way to keep your
child from harms way now!M+6

Every third man dies before he reach the age 30 in Malmö because of the
ganglife.M

There is shootings every day and iv been robbed over 10 times and once I had
to live in the trubble area of malmö (rosengård) and wake up hearing a fight
from the appartment below me I was going to ignore it but then I heard gun
shots and apparently a heroin seller was shot to death by another drug
dealerM+1

Worked in Malmö for 6 months and then moved away. This place is not sweden
or scandinavia. Disgustning city, a lot of criminal immigrants and drug
dealers.M

Me and my family waet there and was a very nice place to be.True when is
said that has a lot of imigrants.the only crime I saw was McDonalds
account...45 Euros for 4 peopleM

I used to live in Malmö, but recently we had to install safety steel doors
to every appartment and a sturdy steel bar gate att the enterance from the
street. Our house became a kind of fort, so I decided to move to a safer
community.
The police have difficulties to deal with all new cases of murder or
mistreat. Hence Gated communities are in high demand in this lost city.
