The Uganda some of us were born in was a peace full country, my heart goes
out to those that were born late for you missed out. Kampala had only 50,000
people or just under, Walusimbi Mpanga was the mayor of the city, and he was
being paid a single shilling per month as a salary. Mpanga is only beaten by
Donald J Trump that charges Americans nothing for saving their country. It
was illegal for any soldier to walk in public with a uniform or a gun, there
was not a single barracks in public place. Uganda was a pearl of Africa.
The coming of Obote one government changed most of that, we started to see
the army in public for the first time, They drove trucks Leyland and they
were dark. Troop carriers A national Emergency was announced on the
country followed very immediately with a curfew. And that is how the state
of Uganda started to be screwed up by only three Ugandans, Sir Edward
Mutesa, Milton Obote and Mayanja Nkangi, of which none had the brains to
just leave the country alone.
1971 God remembered Uganda as he remembered The United States in 2016, he
created an Iddi Amin Dada Ssabalongo that came to save the country from the
people that thought they owned it. This piece is about the Uganda I saw
between 1971 to 1979.
As Amin lead the country, his home region, Arua and Koboko became directly
affected, Lugbaras never wanted to live in Kampala, they wanted to live in
the West Nile. But West Nile was very back ward, I think Arua had one
street, Koboko I did not know that much of for I did not go there pre 1971.
Since the Mafuta Mingi had kicked in and Bayindi sent packing, the economy
of Uganda flew at the speed United States is flying today.
Lugbaras taped into the income and decided to build both Arua and Koboko. By
1975 a house was popping up on an Arua street every day, and they were
building at this pace, you buy a plot today, by afternoon UEB plants a
power pole into the plot, and puts a bulb on that pole, they did the
Omusingi when they are using the light from the pole. Both Arua and koboko
became live and weekends were starting on Thursday and ending on Tuesday, no
one wanted to be in Kampala any more. Jobs were available for Agriculture
and Livestock industry had started a massive farm in Zeu. Communication was
good for Amin had installed the Ombaci satellite.
At the end of the Tanzanian war, Acholi and Langi attacked West Nile, they
did more looting in West Nile than what we saw in Kampala, they looted the
doors and windows out but they took the bricks too. Acholi and Langi
attacked all the buildings and literary dug them out of the Omusingi and
left Arua and West Nile empty. They had army trucks and used them to loot
the entire West Nile. After looting it and taking the bricks too, the Obote
two government did not run the entire West Nile. Hospitals were cut out,
power supply was cut out and the government refused to run an election in
West Nile. The George Okello disregarded West Nile as not a part of Uganda
during the entire Obote two government.
What we fail to understand to today, is where Langi and Acholi took all
those properties, what happened to the bricks? What happened to all the
doors and windows they looted out of West Nile? But history had educated us
as well that all the property they looted out of Luwero, they failed to use
it and build The North. To today in 2019 there is not a single house in
Acholi or Lango that was built from the iron sheets of Luwero, they still
live in thatched houses.
So Acholi and Langi are professional demolitionists that build nothing, they
loot yes but they bring all that property back and sell it into Buganda for
they were never born to build for themselves. When they were leaving
Tanzania, Nyerere gave them a pile of clothes and drums of paraffin, they
were driving it to Gulu and back to Kampala to resale it, get the money and
drink it. When you get so much drinking in society, you get time on hands
which makes them screw their wives none stop. So you end up with population
of none builders, best looters and infesting the entire half of the country.
As Dan Bwanika challenges us to invest into the real estate of Uganda, we
need to realize that we have professional demolitionists by the Langi Acholi
definition. Those buildings you see in Gulu are of none Acholi and none
Langi, it is Baganda Westerners and Indians building, at the fall of
Museveni, all of them are going to go down, and this time around even the
firkin Pece stadium Gulu is going to be looted. That is who Acholi and Langi
are.
Until when we go back into the Uganda constitution, and write an article
with in the constitution, allowing any future Uganda leader to find a way to
create a way to beat the crap out of Acholi and Langi, to make sure that at
every ten to fifteen years a sitting leader has a constitutional
responsibility to Musevenise them to a firkin pulp, dont invest money into
Uganda real estate.
Lugbaras did it very effectively and today they have absolutely nothing to
show.
