I get 0 hit for UIMA but 5 for "Unstructured Information Management
Architecture", 3 of them been IBM US patents.
Thanks Pascal. My search was to see if there were any "trademark"
issues with the name UIMA.
These 5 patents appear to be all owned by IBM, and when IBM did the
software grant for UIMA to Apache,
it granted a "patent license" that covers "patent claims owned by IBM
which are necessarily
infringed by the use or sale of the Software alone." (see
http://apache.org/licenses/software-grant.txt )
