Do a release / test plan, and get some others to run the test(s). Our test plans are on the wiki - See for instance: http://cwiki.apache.org/UIMA/release-plan.html Run the RAT tool, and explain the exceptions (or fix them :-) Make a release candidate in SVN with the exact level. Signing the release artifacts. Putting all the release artifacts in a space accessible to reviewers, but not publicly accessible (may need committer to do this). We should put this info up on our website - under how to do a release. Some info is there already: http://incubator.apache.org/uima/distribution.html -Marshall
