That's a reasonable worry. OTOH, we have no concrete plans for a release that I'm aware of. We don't even have a release manager for the next release. If I'm to be constrained by an upcoming release, we should discuss some time lines here. If we're having a bug fix release very soon, I agree it would be better for me to work in a branch off of trunk. --Thilo
