Folks, I'm a bit concerned about the way development of the new uima-ee/as component is going on. I see various people submitting patches, but I see no discussion of the development going on on this list. Please do use the list for discussion, not some back channels. We want everybody to have a chance to contribute, not just a chosen few.
Also, I see big cumulative patches coming in. Don't do that. We want to have a chance to review those patches. Even if I'm not personally interested in the technical details of uima-ee, I still like to review patches to watch out for IP issues (and so should other committers). So please open a Jira issue for each problem you're fixing or feature you're adding, and provide separate patches. I appreciate all the hard work you're putting into this, so please don't take this the wrong way. It is a bit more work this way, but it helps ensure an open development process. Thanks. --Thilo
