Yes the Sandbox release will be split out so an annotator package and a
CasEditor package. The build for the annotator package is nearly ready.
The build for the CasEditor package is still missing, but I think this
has to be provided by Joern since I don't know how to build it :-)
I also think that we have platform dependent packages for the CasEditor,
right? Do we have to build them on different machines?

If we did this, we would have the following "packages" being
"released" as 2.2.2:
- UIMA base
- Sandbox
- uima-as
The Sandbox package might want to split out the cas editor as a
separate package, because it's very big, just by itself (> 22MB in the
binary, because of including the code to do an Eclipse RCP).
The packaging for uima-as hasn't been done yet - there needs to be a
Jira issue for that.
The uima-as has a "c++" part - corresponding to the uima-cpp base code
- it's minor extensions to that base code, but the uima-cpp has not
yet been through a release at Apache. Would this c++ part of uima-as
not be part of this release?

With the next UIMA bugfix release (2.2.2) I would also like to ship the
first Sandbox release.
The release should contain a Sandbox annotator package and a CasEditor
package. (Joern any updates for the CasEditor release?)
I believe Uima-as can also be ready for the first sandbox release with a
March 7 code freeze. There are a handful of minor things to be done
that are
now in Jira. What additional information is needed to get this into the
2.2.2S plan?
Thanks,
