Hi,

I don't really know if that's the good list to post this, maybe the
user list is more appropriate, but anyway I've packaged the UIMA 2.2.2
release as Ubuntu Packages anybody can install from my repository :

deb http://dl.fabienpoulard.info/distr/ubuntu/

The packaging is made out of the binaries and not the sources as it
should be ... but at least it works this way and we've deployed UIMA
very easily into my research lab. I'll work on packaging from the
sources as soon as I'm not in a rush anymore.

Can any developper try the packages out and tell me what they think of
it ? I've tried to respect the Debian Policy as much as I could, I
still have to write the mans for the tools though.

The packages are the following :

libuima-adapter-soap-java
libuima-adapter-vinci-java
libuima-core-java
libuima-cpe-java
libuima-document-annotation-java
libuima-tools-java
libuima-vinci-java
uima-doc
uima-utils
uima-examples (to be extensively tested)

The tools are installed in /usr/bin/ and can be launched out of the
box without any CLASSPATH, UIMA_CLASSPATH or UIMA_HOME configuration.

Fabien
