The Apache UIMA team is pleased to announce the UIMA sandbox.

The UIMA sandbox is a workspace that is open to all UIMA committers and
developers who would like to contribute code and join the UIMA developer
community on Apache. The sandbox was designed to host UIMA analysis
components like annotators, parsers or consumers, as well as UIMA
tooling. All the hosted components are free to use and everyone is
invited to suggest new components or work on some of them. All
components will be licensed under the Apache Software License.
A list of proposed analysis components and tooling is available at the
UIMA wiki and can be discussed there. The page can be found at
