Hi Jonathan -

Sometime back around Eclipse version 3, the organization of plugins was
upgraded to follow more closely that of the OSGi framework.  As part of
this, the attributes such as id, version, etc., were moved from the
plugin.xml to the MANIFEST.MF file.

So - it is correct not to see the these as part of the <plugin> ..
elements in the plugin.xml.

Please try without doing the filling in reasonable values, and let us
know what happens.
