You may know that there is a similar documentation available for
the PEAR packaging Maven plugin. So
far it was not linked directly on the website so I'm not sure if
users found them. To have better
access to the documentation I changed this and added a link to the
PDF version of the documentation
to the website, is available here: http://incubator.apache.org/uima/
sandbox.html#pear.maven.task
If you are interested you can move some of your parts to that
documentation.

Meanwhile: is there any public Maven repository containing the UIMA
