Also needed that in the past.
A type parameter could be nice for those who
specify parameter mappings in the descriptor. Maybe thats
the wrong way to do it since these mappings often apply to multiple
AEs and not only to one. On the other side these are usually grouped in
one AAE so maybe thats the right place for it.
