hey folks...

my stk500 just broke down (i only got strange behaviour and now it died
completly). since i wanted to eliminate all possible user-error i d/l
atmels recent AVR Studio 4 from their site, went to vmware, installed it
and after upgrading the firmware of the stk500, i could flash a tiny2313
successfully 2 times...

uisp doesn't seem to work with the upgraded board... i'm afraid i can't
give detailed error/firmware version (guess it was 2.4 , 2.14
something)...
all uisp did was "Programmer not responding..."

i'll get a new stk500 soon, but i refuse to upgrade that one to make a
detailed bug-report. (i don't know how to reverse the firmware-upgrade
process)

what i CAN provide is a link to the description of the recent protocol:
http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc2591.pdf

just to point it out... :)

regards
