...we've had reports from folks on campus here at Loughborough Uni late this afternoon that people external to campus can't reach us.
A quick and terribly unscientific poll proves this not to be the case at the very least from Virgin Media space, plus one or two hosting outfits. However: the LINX traffic stats show something significant this afternoon in that around 4pm they dropped from almost 700Gbps to less than 600Gbps. That's a significant wrinkle. Unfortunately one of our users won't accept the fact that there's an external problem, and refuses to ask their contact to phone their ISP (they also won't tell us who the ISP is, other than "I'm in Southampton"). So... I felt a great disturbance in The Internet. What was it? Graeme
