I'm pleased to announce that UKNOF18 will be taking place on Thursday
20th January, in central London at the Freemasons' Hall near Covent Garden.
Our talks this time around include a presentation on Google's Content
Distribution infrastructure. the RIPE Resource Certification and Atlas
projects, the latest on IPv4 exhaustion and IPv6 deployment experiences,
and new BGP and Ethernet developments.
If you are planning to attend, registration is now open at:
http://www.uknof.org.uk/uknof18/regform.php
Please register as soon as you can to ensure we can provide catering and
a name badge for everyone.
A draft agenda is available at:
http://www.uknof.org.uk/uknof18/
There is still some room for additional talks, please contact me or the
<[email protected]> ASAP if you wish to submit one.
There are also links to maps with the venue and travel information from
the above page.
Although we have confirmed sponsors for our social events before and
after the meeting, we are still in the process of confirming a sponsor
for the meeting itself, which means sponsorship opportunities remain
open - please contact <[email protected]> ASAP if your organisation is
interested in sponsoring this meeting.
For social events, I'm grateful to Firebrick for once more sponsoring
our pre-meeting curry, which will be at a nearby restaurant on the
evening of Wed 19th; and to Goscomb Technologies who will be sponsoring
post-meeting drinks. One thing we could do with some volunteer help on
is selecting and booking a suitable curry venue.
Meeting connectivity will be provided care of the venue with support
from LONAP, and we are once again planning to webcast the meeting, a big
thank you to our webcast provider sponsors Bogons and Portfast for this.
Note that due to venue and public holiday considerations we've made some
slight changes to the dates of the other UKNOF meetings this year, which
are now:
UKNOF19, 20th April in Leeds
UKNOF20, 6th September in Bristol
Happy New Year !
Keith
(UKNOF Chair)
