Due to higher demand than expected (yay !), we've had to make a few
minor late-breaking changes to the arrangements for UKNOF19, so please
(with apologies for length) read what is below carefully.
There are 3 pre-meeting events taking place this afternoon, 2 of these
are at the originally announced "Salem Church" venue at AQL's HQ at
11-15 Hunslet Road LS10 1JQ:
http://www.uknof.org.uk/uknof19/meeting_aql.pdf
These are:
- Adrian Kennard's PPP/L2TP/RADIUS Workshop, which started at 3pm
and will run until 16:30
- The UKNOF open stakeholder governance meeting, which will run from
16:30 until 18:00
Due to high demand for the curry event, we were unfortunately unable to
find a sponsor or large enough venue for it. What we've done instead is
provide a list of recommended local restaurants, which you can find at:
http://www.uknof.org.uk/uknof19/restaurants.html
Please self-organize dinner with your food/buddies/vendors/customers of
choice :-) A good place to meet before dinner would probably the Adelphi
pub across the road from AQL.
On to the meeting proper - as we now have more people registered than
are likely to fit into the above venue, it has been moved to the top
floor of 46 The Calls - this is just across the river from Jurys Inn and
about 5 mins walk from AQL via this route:
http://www.aql.com/map-aql-calls.jpg
Proceedings start tomorrow at 09:30 coffee for 10:00 proper, and the
latest agenda can be found at:
http://www.uknof.org.uk/uknof19/
The remaining presentations will be linked to from this as soon
as they are received form the speakers. In particular I'm pleased to
confirm that we now have 5 speakers for our "World IPv6 Day" Panel
chaired by Andy Davidson.
As usual, we will be webcasting the event, at:
http://uknof.bogons.net/uknof19.html
with thanks to Bogons and Portfast. Remote participation is supported by
the IRC channel:
#[email protected]
At the end of the day there will be drinks sponsored by AQL on the
rooftop terrace, after which we'll retire to the Adelphi for drinks
sponsored by Network Hardware Resale. Finally there is a RIPE IPv6
training course on Thursday back at the AQL Salem Church venue, though I
believe all places for this are now full.
Finally, a big thank you to AQL for hosting UKNOF19 and being flexible
about these changes, and to our other meeting sponsors Bytemark and
Network Hardware Resale.
