Hi Nigel,

I can confirm Gradwell have been absolutely atrocious of late. We've been
working with on debugging some issues this last fortnight and found that all
numbers they've had ported in (from BT etc) are on a platform that simply
doesn't work due to an invalid packet header.

Over the last year we've been working on porting all of our customers over to
VoIP.co.uk who run purely an ISDN type replacement service (as they call it),
and for customers we've moved over they haven't experienced a single outage
since (unlike the weekly Gradwell issues). Happy to give you an introduction if
you like?

Simon

Subject: [uknof] Recommendations for VOIP provider in the UK

Does anyone have recommendations for helpful and reliable VOIP services
providers in the UK. We're currently on a Gradwell hosted PABX solution but
it's been getting more and more unreliable and we are now starting to get
customer complaints: queued calls are being dropped before the phones ring,
phones unregister randomly and I get emails telling me phones have unregistered
when they haven't, I can't block incoming SIP hack attempts because Gradwell
can't guarantee what IP address incoming calls will come from, they don't do
IPv6 etc

Looking for a very basic PABX system: 8 or so extensions, incoming call
queuing, voicemail. Advice gratefully received.

Nigel
