I tested the phone on someone who's fairly deaf and it didn't work, i.e. no "telecoil" feature. Because it uses a RJ9 or RJ10 (not sure what the connector is) I tried her existing phone but it wasn't very satisfactory.
However she has one of these: http://www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk/shop/neckloop-for-sonido-listener-product-l335a.aspx And by chopping up a spare handset cable and using sellotape, twisty things, and croc-clip patches, I was able to divert the speaker signal from the handset to drive the loop, and it seemed to work well. I have enough spare parts to be able to make a proper job of it when I get home, I'll be using a switch for pass-through vs loop socket. I'm not using a laptop so I hope I am copying/pasting correctly from g+ https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-7AMw7rAfyO0/U4G6r-ZvQ2I/AAAAAAAAMxA/bP6aBYEtBtE/w1280-h800-p-k/2014%2B-%2B1 Jabra have a telecoil headset but it's at least £130+ vat!
