It isn't unreasonable. Perhaps I'd phrase it "I know, I'll ask everyone
on a forum if they have any further inside information about this provider".
I think a number of us on this list have asked similar questions of
suppliers, and the answer you get from the people who actually have
enable-level access to the routers and anyone else in the company can be
significantly different.
