With five weeks remaining until UKNOF32 at the Holiday Inn Sheffield Victoria
on 16 & 17 September, we are pleased to announce that we have now published the

Although we webcast and record the presentations, we do sometimes receive
requests not to record or webcast a particular presentation. If you are
interested in all the presentations at UKNOF32 and UK & Ireland Peering Forum
1.0, then please attend in person.

We currently have 160 delegates from nine different countries registered to

and email address will be passed on to the organisers of that event. This is so
that they may contact you with event follow-up communication.

We have secured a limited number of rooms at various hotels (including the
conference venue) at negotiated rates for UKNOF32 and UK & Ireland Peering
Forum 1.0 delegates. These are all within short walking distance to the venue,
include breakfast and are flexible rates (i.e., cancellations are allowed prior
to arrival in case your plans change).
Special negotiated rates end between 16 August and 1 September (depending on
hotel), so it would be prudent to book early.

The negotiated rates start at £62 for Double/Twin rooms with single occupancy,
include breakfast and VAT and bookings are flexible (ie, may be cancelled
closer to the arrival date - no payment processed on booking, although your
card details will be required to place the reservation).

[ LONAP AGM ]
Takes place during the afternoon on Tuesday 15 September at Holiday Inn Royal
Victoria Sheffield.
Details will be emailed to LONAP members in due course.
Following this, on the evening of Tuesday 15th there will be a LONAP social
event to which all attendees (UKNOF32 and UK & Ireland Peering Forum 1.0) are
cordially invited.
[ UK & Ireland Peering Forum 1.0 ]
Takes place during the morning on Wednesday 16 September. As this is being
co-located with UKNOF32, please use the UKNOF32 registration form to indicate
your attendance at this event, at:

The UK's and Ireland's first ever Peering Forum is aimed at discussing the
advantages and benefits of peering at both national and regional level. This
will be held on the morning of the 16th September and is timed to coincide with
UKNOF32. The agenda is now published at:

[ UKNOF Professional Training Series ]
UKNOF is starting it’s Professional Training Series with a course on "The
Technical and Business Considerations of Secure DNS Deployment".
This takes place during the afternoon of Thursday 17 September at the Holiday
Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield and is limited to 25 delegates.
The course will provide a description of Secure DNS, the technology and how it
works. It will show how to configure popular DNS server implementations to use
DNSSEC for signing and validating DNS data. An overview of the tools to support
these activities will be given, along with some guidance on how to do DNSSEC
troubleshooting.
The course will also describe the impact of DNSSEC on existing network
infrastructure andDNS operations and how these may need to be reviewed and
changed: procedures, customer support and helpdesk issues, provisioning
systems, middleware and so on. Advice on how to prepare for DNSSEC deployment
will also be given: checklists, testing, documentation, migration schemes and
key management considerations.
The course will be delivered by industry veteren and DNS expert, Jim Reid (RTFM
LLP)
