Dear colleagues

As we head off into a long weekend (Sat, Sun, Mon) within most of the UK, a
gentle nudge as a reminder for the upcoming deadline on Early Bird
registration, negotiated rate accommodation and the Training course.

[[ REGISTRATION ]]

This is going to be a jam packed meeting - we already have over 210 delegates
registered to attend, so if you would like to join them, please register ASAP.
Early Bird Registrations are only available until 11.59pm BST on 1 September:

    http://uknof.uk/register32

All registrations after Early Bird are on a paid basis.

If any of your colleagues/customers would be interested in attending UKNOF32
and/or UK & Ireland Peering Forum 1.0, please pass this email on to them.

Please note: the registration form for UKNOF32 and the co-located event - UK &
Ireland Peering Forum 1.0 - are one and the same and applies to both Early Bird
and post Early Bird (paid) registrations.

If you are attending the UK & Ireland Peering Forum 1.0, your name, affiliation
and email address will be passed on to the organisers of that event. This is so
that they may contact you with event follow-up communication.

[[ ACCOMMODATION ]]

We have a limited number of rooms available at the conference venue hotel and
sister hotel 200m away at negotiated rates for UKNOF32 and UK & Ireland Peering
Forum 1.0 delegates.

Special negotiated rates end on 1 September, so it would be prudent to book now.

Further details are at:

   http://uknof.uk/accommodation32

The negotiated rates start at £69 for Double/Twin rooms, include breakfast,
WiFi and VAT.

[[ UKNOF Training ]]

UKNOF Professional Training Series kicks off with a course on "The Technical
and Business Considerations of Secure DNS Deployment” taking place during the
afternoon of Thursday 17 September at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Sheffield
and is limited to 25 delegates.

Lunch will be provided to the training course delegates from 1.15pm. The course
starts at 2pm and will be delivered in three 50 minute segments with a couple
of breaks in between.

The course will provide a description of Secure DNS, the technology and how it
works. It will show how to configure popular DNS server implementations to use
DNSSEC for signing and validating DNS data. An overview of the tools to support
these activities will be given, along with some guidance on how to do DNSSEC
troubleshooting.

The course will also describe the impact of DNSSEC on existing network
infrastructure and DNS operations and how these may need to be reviewed and
changed: procedures, customer support and helpdesk issues, provisioning
systems, middleware and so on. Advice on how to prepare for DNSSEC deployment
will also be given: checklists, testing, documentation, migration schemes and
key management considerations.

The course will be delivered by industry veteran and DNS expert, Jim Reid (RTFM
LLP)

The course costs £150 + VAT + Eventbrite fee (£189.65) and you may register for
the course at

    http://uknof-pts-dnssec.eventbrite.co.uk

Note that registrations for the course are only available until 1 September.

[[ Car Parking ]]

Car Parking is complimentary for UK & Ireland Peering Forum, UKNOF32, and
Training course delegates. You simply need to register your car at the
conference hotel reception desk. Postcode for SatNav users (the hotel has two):
S1 2AU - which will bring you directly on to the driveway for the venue.
