I tried using some of random unbranded SFPs specifically on MX80
(manufactured before 2013) and they didn't worked out. Though opposite is
quite true i.e you can use Juniper SFPs on other relatively low end boxes
as they don't seem to be blocking them.


I don't have access to those SFPs which I tried but they were like few SFPs
(1G) of 3 random brands and we had those working fine on other devices.
