Dear colleagues UKNOF33 takes place in just over a month - on Tuesday 19 January at etc Venues 155 Bishopsgate. I wanted to give you some information before we head off in to the Christmas and New Year break. The day will start at 9am with registration and an ‘Energiser Breakfast’, and the session itself will run from 10am until 6pm. There will be a couple of coffee breaks and lunch during the course of the day. We are also planning UKNOF’s first Pints n’ Packets social event immediately after UKNOF33 finishes, which is due to last until 8/8.30pm. Registrations are going extremely well - with just under 200 registered delegates (30% first time attendees) so far , this is the highest number of registrations we have had more than a month from the meeting! The agenda will be finalised and published in early January. So far the presentations include talks on IPv6 (such as best practices), security (such as operations and the Investigatory Powers Bill) and hardware (such as Turris, an open source router). More will be revealed in January. Please note that although we webcast and record the presentations, we do sometimes receive requests not to record or webcast a particular presentation. If you are interested in all the presentations at UKNOF33, then please attend in person. You will also have the opportunity to network with industry colleagues. If any of your colleagues/customers would be interested in attending UKNOF, please pass this email on to them. [[ MEETING REGISTRATION DEADLINES ]] - Tuesday 5 January = To help us with meeting logistics, please register for the meeting as soon as possible. Early Bird (Free) Registrations are open until 11.59pm GMT on 5 January (two weeks before the meeting) at: http://uknof.uk/register33 Standard registrations (for those who wish to contribute toward the running of UKNOF by paying for their registration) and all registrations after the Early Bird period are on a paid basis at a cost of: £125.99 (£100 + VAT + Eventbrite fee) for non-Patrons, and £63.49 (£50 + VAT + Eventbrite fee) for Patrons via discount code. Note that if you have already registered under Early Bird but would like to pay for your registration, you may do so via the Standard Registration link on the Registration page at the link above. We will internally match your details so you do not end up with duplicate registrations. Registrations are non-transferrable (except between delegates from Patron organisations and Advisory Committee organisations) [[ ACCOMMODATION BOOKING DEADLINES ]] - From 15 December = We have managed to secure rooms at various hotels at negotiated rates for UKNOF33 delegates. These are all within short walking distance to the venue and generally include breakfast and WiFi. These are flexible rates (i.e., cancellations are allowed prior to arrival in case your plans change). Each hotel does have limited availability, and a limited timeframe within which the rates are available, so it would be prudent to book early - especially as some of the hotels are only giving special rates if rooms are available (i.e. they have not set aside a room block for UKNOF delegates). Further details (booking deadlines, cancellation timeframes, etc) are at: http://uknof.uk/accommodation33 The negotiated rates start at £65 for Double/Twin rooms with single occupancy. Negotiated rates are available until variable dates depending on hotel (e.g., DoubleTree and Ibis delegate rates end on 15 December - tomorrow), after which their standard rates will apply.
