Well, no, not really. If it is a small office with a single network,
there is no reason to give it a /48, it just needs a /64. And there is
nno reason that I can think of to *ever* configure a /48 directly onto an
interface. Even if you allocate a /48 (or /56) as recommended, the whole
reason for that recommendation is to allow for *multiple* networks which
is completely defeated by just putting it on an interface.
