Indeed. If I had such a house and wanted fibre to it using BT services, it 
would make
more sense to do EAD/EBD to it than to use the service branded as FTTP. The DSL
and FTTx tarifs are ridiculous (although £40/Mb/s/month is actually about 20% 
cheaper
than the  last time I did the back of the envelope calculation…)
