Morning All,
== UKNOF 40==
Thanks to all our attendees, speakers
and sponsors for UKNOF40 - some interesting and quite a number of
feedback responses (we'd much prefer not having to withhold beer next
time!) which we're taking on board.
We tried for UKNOF40 to vary
things a little to balance a little between our experienced and first
time attendees, feedback reflects this and we hope you all enjoyed the
event and we gave you a $clue, something to think about, or a different
perspective.
== UKNOF 41 ==
We now move to UKNOF41, in Edinburgh on
the 11th September.
We hope to open event registrations shortly, this
has been held due to an upcoming Indico update - if I said GDPR and just
left things there, sure you'll understand why.
As a side note, its
explicit opt-in, rather than explicit opt-out :)
With heading towards
the summer holidays, we'd appreciate submissions early if we can so we
can put things together - as things stand, we have 1 piece of accepted
content:
* Deploying at Atlas Probe: The Hard Way - Chris Russell
(me!)
... and as much as I love you people, and I'm thinking there's
a potential role as token geordie alongside Dec, I'd prefer not to be on
stage for most the day - none of us want that :)
Hence, please submit!
- SUBMISSION URL VIA: http://uknof.uk/cfp41
.. and as a reminder, we
like and consider talks on most of the below:
* Network security and
abuse prevention
* Network operations
* Network architecture and
design
* Networking hardware and software architecture
* Peering and
interconnect
* Data centre design and operations
* IPv6 deployment
* Network monitoring and measurement
* New innovations in networking
technology
* Open protocol standards
* Domain Name System
infrastructure
* Impact of public policy of network operations
*
Confessions
* Stories from the field
Cheers
Chris
