I'd recommend that anyone who wants to get a good idea of how these things are put together, should read the Cisco Live Europe presentation BRKSPG-2900. Barcelona 2019 is the most recent. It explains the packet path in some good detail, including detail on the "NPUs". Regards, -- Tom
