Mikrotik is a good choice, just be sure to follow their best practices for
locking it down: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Securing_Your_Router –
Basic common sense stuff mainly.

Copper/No wireless option: https://mikrotik.com/product/RB750Gr3

Copper/SFP/No wireless option: https://mikrotik.com/product/hex_s

Copper/Wireless option: https://mikrotik.com/product/hap_ac2

Powerhouse Copper/SFP/Wireless option:

I have personally used all of these, and they do deliver true Gbps
connectivity, just don’t go to heavy on firewalling and queues.

Kind Regards,

Charles.

Morning folks,

We’re looking for a low(ish) cost 1Gbps CPE. We’d normally go with a Cisco
device, but they’re priced too high for 1Gbps throughput. A Juniper SRX could
cost in, but what other reliable options are there for us? Mikrotik?

Best, Leigh
