Hi all,

I work in the Networks team at the University of Bristol and I am currently
working towards my final year of a part time MSc in Cyber Security, distance
learning through the University of Staffordshire.

My dissertation entitled 'Educating Education - Schooling up on Cyber Security'
will focus on identifying security concerns found within academia, how we
differ from other sectors and exploring the most common external attacks taking
place on educational networks, with the intent to provide advice on mitigation
techniques and best practice.

I am interested in reaching out to other network/infosec teams across the
sector to ask if they have experienced any cyber-attacks and if so, how did
they happen and what were the ramifications of such attacks. This then has the
benefit of allowing me to compare responses against vendor reports and my
literature review to see if they all align with each other.

If you work within the education sector, I would really appreciate it you could
find a minute or two to answer my quick survey. The responses are anonymous
for privacy. I have only had 10 responses so far so would really like to get a
couple more before I have to start analysis of the results.

The survey link can be found here, through Google Forms:
https://forms.gle/qRhgNbHk1Kx6i5oG8

I will keep the survey up for the rest of the week, until Sunday 9th February.

Many thanks in advance,
Donna.
