Good Evening, I had previously sent the below massage, I was subsequently informed that it may have dropped into people's google spam box. I have removed the offending email address in a hope it reaches everyone okay.
Previous message read. I am reaching out to all ISP's (an none ISP's if relevant) to identify if anyone has been subjected to a DDOS attack from a group called Shinbilx. They use a Protonmail account In Brief the attack involved receiving an email from the group asking for payment, around £3500 in bitcoin. If no payment is received the group starts the DDOS against the associated IP addresses linked to the company. In the case of ISP's this could be every end user. IP addresses, email addresses etc, probably identified by a RIPE enquiry. This looks to last a number of days causing major impact to businesses, both in disruption and financial. So far, one mitigation defence which seems to have an effect on the DDOS is Upstream Scrubbing. Currently I am looking to identify businesses affected by this to identify the reach of the attack. To facilitate contact my contact details are below.
