Hi All

CFP for the VirtualUKNOF September meeting detail is as per below...

Just to confirm, UKNOF 46 is now formally on hold, and will NOT be taking
place in Manchester this calendar year. We've been working with the venue
on this for a number of months, and we expect to update on future plans in
the coming days.

Thoughts as always with the UKNOF contingent and their families in
Manchester right now especially since the recent announcements and further
lockdowns.. Fantastic place and I and the UKNOF crew and I'm sure a number
of our community look forward to returning there when it is safe for us all
to do so.

**virtualUKNOF September 2020 Call For Presentations**

The third virtualUKNOF will take place on 7 September (14:30 - 16:30 BST)
in the ether, and the Programme Committee are seeking content from the
community for this meeting.

You may often hear it said that UKNOF's remit is "distribution of clue",
and for our second fully remote meeting, we are looking for content which
is both operationally relevant in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and our
'normal' operational remit.

The whole session is planned for around 90-120 minutes and with this in
mind, we are looking for 5-6 presentations which are around15 minutes in
length each with an additional 5 minutes for questions & discussion.

Topics within the wider subject areas below will be considered:

  * Network hardware/software/configuration architecture, design and
operations
  * Network Automation and Tooling inc SDN, Open Source initiatives
  * Peering and interconnection / routing.
  * Data centre design and operations
  * IPv6 deployment
  * Open protocol standards and best practise initatives
  * Domain Name System infrastructure
  * Personal/Network security, inclusivness and abuse prevention
  * Impact of public policy of network operations
  * Confessions & War Stories / Lessons learnt from the field

Please submit your proposals using the menu on the left. **Submissions**
are welcome at any time, but for virtualUKNOF September 2020 we would like
to have them **no later than 21 August 2020** (and we are hoping to publish
an initial set of accepted talks so do get your talks in by 2nd August if
you wish to be included in that).

If you had a talk accepted for UKNOF 46 and would like to move it to the
September virtual meeting please drop us a note via [email protected]

Our expected timeline is:

17 July Submissions open via Indio
7 August 2020 - Initial Contribution list published
21 August 2020 - Deadline for submission (23:59 BST)
24 August 2020 - Full agenda published
2 September 2020 - Deadline for slideset submission
7 September 2020 - Meeting

Information for speakers about presenting and what to expect at UKNOF is
available at <https://wiki.uknof.org.uk/Speaker_Information>

Additional information for speakers of virtualUKNOF:

  * your talk will be live broadcast and recorded for future reference
  * your presentation slides will be available for delegates and others to
download and refer to, before, during and after the meeting
  * you will be expected to attend a rehearsal some time in the two weeks
running up to the workshop. We will work with all accepted speakers on a
convenient time for all. It would be very useful to have your slides (even
if draft) ready for this.

**Note** that in order to preserve editorial neutrality and the best
experience for our attendees and sponsors, the UKNOF PC cannot accept
abstract submissions for presentations by commercial organisations that are
also sponsors in any way of the same UKNOF event. If you would like one of
our sponsored presentation slots, please contact [[email protected]](
