Hi All, I'm fairly certain we're all getting the same emails but I have just received this update from Amazon:
"A quick update from our end regarding this: After some further investigation with our operations and LINX, it was noted that there was some incrementing CRC errors observed on the LINX side of this circuit. The optic and fiber has been cleaned on our end, which sadly didn’t resolve the problem. Therefore we have initiated an RMA of the optical module, which we are at the moment currently waiting to get delivered. We hope that this will resolve the issue, if not LINX will carry out the same on their end." Usually, Linx are very good at sorting things so it shouldn't be too much longer until the issue is fixed. I guess it's now just a waiting game. Our operations has been engaged and we are in contact with LINX regarding this issue. We are awaiting on-site technicians to perform a loop test on the circuit facing LINX Manchester. At the moment neither we or LINX are observing any CRC errors on the respective interfaces, however it’s too soon to say where the issue might reside. I will check in with you again tomorrow and provide an update how things are progressing on our end. Have a great evening, and I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you! A ping to 195.66.244.42 from our peering router shows around 7% packet loss but that could well be control plane policers kicking in at their side. We'll raise a case with their NOC and if others do the same it may convince them the issue is real. Rich. The Amazon NOC team tell me that they performed software updates at Manchester just over 2 days ago. When did your issue start and have you reported it to them yet? I think this is going to be an uphill battle.
