I was advised by someone via a post I made elsewhere to drop a note on
UKNOF…
We’re seeing one of our critical services blocked by the “Sky Broadband
Shield” - eg DNS is resolved to a Sky address and not ours, preventing
access to the service for our customers. Among other things, it prevents
them even access e-mail and other messaging services.
It is a widespread issue and is preventing customers working from home
including some key workers & abuse support service customers with the
resulting problems that creates, and has been reported by a lot of
customers - all using Sky or Now Broaband. I understand the “what to
block” decision and list is from a third party service but that Sky can
reach the right people to help, and I’m told some Sky people might be
lurking in UKNOF land… if so, if someone could contact me off list I’d
appreciate it as this has been going on for a few days now and we have
no real way to get it resolved universally via the sky “help” options.
