I’m after some vendor recommendations for a PTP Grandmaster. Does anybody have any insight, good or bad?

I have a Meinberg M600, and have no complaints.  (I've not managed to get Dell OS10 to synchronise to it, but I think that is a Dell problem rather than a Meinberg problem.  Aristas, Linux-PTP etc. have no problem with it.)

I'll give another vote to the Meinberg kit. We had both M600 and M1000 w/ NTP+PTP at $dayjob-1 and they worked well (GNSS-sourced, with upgraded-but-still-quartz clocks).

Depending on your holdover requirements you might need external frequency references beyond what Meinberg can do - their top-end clock is still rubidium, not caesium. Then you're back to Microsemi/Oscilloquartz. But if you're looking at less drastic requirements, either for holdover or stability, the Meinberg stuff is reliable.

Cheers,
James Harrison
