Thanks, I figured this out by using JPanel. I am trying to do a similiar thing with a ULCLabel. I have a server side component ULCLabel, and a Client UILabel. For overriding the swing class I am using JLabel. any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated. I am getting the following error.

Hi all, I would like to paint a gradient for a background color on a pane. I am using ULC 6.1, the example that I have seen on the mailing list refer to a UiJPanel, but I am unable to resolve this component. Any help would be appreciated. I was looking at the following example.
